Sigh...
I can’t lie, two games in and I am completely frustrated. Errors, guys LOB, and some Padre-esque hitting from the Dodgers. But two games does not make a season, and there were a lot of positives to take from tonight. Belts first Major League home run, Sandoval making pretty good contact, and the starting pitching was very good once again.
And I haven’t swooned this much over a rookie...

I would really love to say Matt Cain, but I don’t think he will ever get that type of recognition, even if he does pitch at that level. Not to say that he is sub-par compared to the rest of these guys, he just doesn’t have that type of character quality that the masses eat up. But he’s a Cy in my heart.

2. Favorite World Series game.
Game 2. Matty continued to be amazing, the Rangers bullpen had a complete meltdown, and Kinsler’s almost HR was kept in the park by the hand of…God? It made me feel completely confident going into Arlington with a 2-0 lead. What a great game.

Cain, The Bullpen, Timmy, Ross, the list goes on and on, and it was truly a team effort. But the one guy who stood out the most to me was Brian Wilson. Every time he came in for the save, he got the job done, whether he made it tortuous or not. He is the player that gets all of the attention, but it’s because he deserves it.
